We see the newest member of our family....exciting!

Dear Family and Friends,
First off, yes Keanna did fall asleep right after I finished blogging. We got her nose cleared out, used nose spray and then put a little puzzle together, then she dropped off to sleep rapidly and slept until after 7 this morning. I was so relieved that she finally found her way to sleep.
This morning we made breakfast, let me tell you Keanna can really eat when she is hungry. She had her sausage, toast with jam, three kinds of fruit, kix, milk. I had oatmeal, half a english muffin with berry jam courtesy of Joyce, then a shower and when we got into the van we found that two of the run flat tires were showing low so there went the schedule. Out came another perfect gift from Nan, a powerful tire pump and topped off the tires. Then we drove to Nikki and Steve's, picked them up and headed to Modesto. we arrived early and got ready. Soon we were in a little cozy room watching a flat screen on the wall and seeing images of a very active little girl. It was very exciting to see the dream come to life before our eyes. I think we were all hoping for a surprise, a boy after all but I think its fairly clear this is a girl.
While we were in Modesto we caught lunch at the Olive Garden, we managed to get there before the rush and were seated as we walked in. The food was OK and it was so fun to just get to talk and interact with these people I love and adore. Then it time to head home and after a garden stop for seeds, Keanna and her daddy want to get the garden started, you should see how excited she gets picking out carrots, lettuce, corn, watermelon. Its a delight to obverse. This is something magical Steve and Nikki have shared with her, the wonder of planting and seeing things grow. Steve and Keanna's tomatoes are absolutely great, so much better than what is sold in the stores now. We got home mid afternoon and came home and rested a bit. I got to talk to both my brother who is starting to really believe he has retired and to Art who is home alone with Connie visiting her sister here in Discovery Bay.
I want to give cudos to Loren and Emily. When Loren arrived on Thursday to transport me to the hospital for the colonoscopy he delivered some of Emily's famous soup. This evening it was just what the doctor ordered. I warmed it in the microwave and with a few saltines and a bit of cottage cheese on the side had a wonderful meal. It was great stuff, thank you so much Emily and Loren. He also brought a carton of applesause. I can't begin to explain to you how good it is, for a snack I had a wheat toast with peanut butter and then put the applesause over it. Wow, every bite was tasty and perfect. So a big thanks!
This evening I selected a task that has needed attention for some time, that is to get all the banking information transfered from the online banking website to my quickbooks pro and to apply an account for each check. All of this is in preparations for the next tax day. It is tedious work but I'm nearly completed and even have it up to date for this year as well. This one of those jobs that seem impossible and are easy to put off until you just wade in and start, then it begins to look doable and possible.
Now its time to rest, well really past time.
